Liverpool FINALLY get their name engraved on the Premier League trophy

Liverpool have their name engraved on the Premier League trophy ahead of lifting it on Wednesday.

The Reds are set to lift the Premier League trophy on Wednesday night after being crowned Champions of England last month.

Jurgen Klopp’s side will lift the trophy at Anfield after their clash with top-four chasing Chelsea.

On Tuesday morning, Sky Sports released a video on Twitter of Liverpool’s name being engraved on the trophy, just below the names of previous winners Manchester City, Leicester City and Chelsea.

The wait has been long. 30 years long. But the Reds will take pride in the coronation of a comprehensive title win.

Liverpool’s players and staff will be presented with their medals and the trophy on a special podium built on the Kop, surrounded by fan banners.

Jurgen Klopp’s side became the earliest champions in Premier League history, clinching the title with seven games still to play when Manchester City were beaten at Stamford Bridge in June.

Klopp’s men have taken their foot off the gas since, winning just twice and losing at Manchester City and Arsenal, and have blown their chance to break the Premier League points record.

But they still hold a mammoth 18-point lead over Pep Guardiola’s men at the top of the table and have the chance to sign off in style this week.

Frank Lampard’s Chelsea are the visitors on Wednesday night before Liverpool go to Newcastle on the final day of the campaign.

Mohamed Salah and Co will lift the trophy in a special ceremony taking place on the Kop
