Juventus were held to a 3-3 draw away at Sassuolo on Wednesday night.
Juventus were forced to settle for a draw when they visited Sassuolo on Wednesday night.
Juve came into the match at the back of another draw against Atalanta on Sunday. Juventus are now on 77 points with five games left, seven ahead of Atalanta who registered a comprehensive 6-2 over Brescia on Tuesday.
Juventus got off to a fast start when Danilo and Gonzalo Higuain scored in the opening 12 minutes, but Filip Djuricic’s goal in the 29th minute signalled the start of a spirited fightback by the home side.
Goals from Domenico Berardi and Francesco Caputo put Sassuolo 3-2 up early in the second half but Alex Sandro produced a bullet header in the 64th minute to secure a point for Juve.
Maurizio Sarri’s side are chasing their ninth league title in a row, and now sit seven points ahead of Atalanta with five games remaining.
Lazio continued their unhappy run since the league restart.
Simone Inzaghi’s side settled for a 0-0 draw away at Udinese after a lackluster performance by the side.
Lazio have been on a three match losing streak that dimmed and ended the side’s chase for the title after a spirited performance before football lockdown in March.
