Bundesliga season comes to an end on Saturday with Bayern Munich coronation with eighth consecutive title.
Bundesliga did what most leagues across Europe had doubts about – resuming the football season amid the coronavirus pandemic.
On Saturday, the German top league draws to a close after putting together their nine rounds of matches in just over six weeks.
Bayern Munich was able to turn their season around after a tumultuous start to end the season on a high with an eighth consecutive title win.

Bayern Munich sealed their eighth consecutive title with a 1-0 win at Werder Bremen on June 16.
The Bavarians endured a terrible start to the season that saw two manager sacked. Hansi Flick’s charge at the helm saw Bayern gradually but steadily reinforce their dominance in Germany.
Any hope that the race to the title would last the distance was effectively ended when Bayern beat Dortmund 1-0, three games after the restart.
Borussia Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund will contend with second place and will be ruing their chances at this season’s title after a flying start back in August last year. Dismal performances coupled with inconsistency saw Lucien Favre’s miss out on league triumph.
Dortmund also slumped in the European stage, losing away at PSG despite winning the first leg of the fixture.
Heading to the next season, Dortmund will be hoping to build on this season’s performance and hope that teenage sensation Erling Haaland will continue his goal scoring prowess.
The club’s management will be hoping to keep Jadon Sancho who has been phenomenal this season – scoring 17 goals this season and providing 16 assists.
Sancho has been constantly linked with a return to England in a mega transfer with Manchester United rumored to be keen on winning the Englishman’s signature.

With the title already sealed, last day battle moves to the quest for a top-four finish.
Bayern and Dortmund have already secured their positions and set to features in next season’s Champions League.
Third placed RB Peipzig can mathematically be caught by Bayer Leverkusen but the former enjoys a superior goal difference.
Borussia Monchengladbach sit fourth with 62 points, two above fifth placed Leverkusen.
Gladbach play host to Hertha Berlin who beat Leverkusen 2-0 last weekend.
Leverkusen entertain Mainz at BayArena who come into the match at the back of a 3-1 win over Werder Bremen.
Battle in the relegation zone
Paderborn have already been relegated from the Bundesliga after their 3-1 heavy loss suffered in the hands of Borussia Monchengladbach.
Fortuna Dusseldorf and Werder Bremen will be fighting for survival and hoping to fall into the safety net of the relegation play-off.
