Arsenal has revealed the navy kit that they will wear tonight will give tributes to NHS and Black Lives Matter.
Arsenal travel to Manchester City Wednesday evening as Premier League action returns after an unprecedented three-month break due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Gunners have revealed a special kit for tonight’s clash that will pay tribute to NHS and Black Lives Matter.
The NHS has played a pivotal and unmatched contribution in the UK in the fight against Covid-19 and the Gunners felt it was necessary to honor the brave men and women.
The Black Lives Matter has attracted significant support around the world since the death of George Floyd who died after white police had his knee to Floyd’s neck for eight minutes as the handcuffed Floyd kept crying ‘I can’t breathe’.
Premier League announced that it supports the cause taken by the players who have asked to be allowed to take a knee during matches paying homage to the fight against racism in the world.
Prior to a behind-closed-doors friendly game last week, Arsenal players sported t-shirts pre-match which read ‘I can’t breathe’, ‘My skin is not a crime’ and ‘I’m not black but I stand with you’.
