Roger Federer to miss US and French Opens due to surgery

Roger Federer will not participate in any competitions for the remainder of the 2020 calendar.

The 20-time Grand Slam Champion has suffered a setback as he was recuperating from a surgery he underwent on his right knee.

The 38-year old Swiss has not played competitively since his Australian Open semi-final defeat to Novak Djokovic in January.

Federer posted on his Twitter page that he would be out of action for the rest of the calendar.

The 38-year-old recovered from a similar knee injury in 2016, returning to win two grand slams.
