Africa has surpassed 140,000 cases positive of coronavirus.
The number of Africans who have tested positive for Covid-19 has reached 141,000 with 4,069 people succumbing to the virus that continues to surge in nations across the world.
The report by the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) indicated that the virus rose from 135,292 on Saturday morning to 141,535 by Sunday morning, eventually registering 5,243 new cases during the past 24-hours period.
The report further indicates that the virus has so far spread into 54 African countries, with 59,212 people being confirmed positive of Covid-19 all over the continent.
The northern part of Africa is reported to be the most affected in terms of patients’ positive of the virus as well as the number of deaths.
