Reports on Spanish Newspaper Sport indicate that the club has been making negotiations with the 28-year old on a contract extension and further indicate that the club managed to agree.
The German international is reported set to have an increase on his £140,000 a week wages on a contract that will see him at the club until 2025.
The shot stopper had been linked with a move back to Germany with Bayern Munich ready to place a world record £90million bid for his services.
Ter Stegen joined Barcelona from Borussia Monchengladbach in 2014 and has developed into one of the club’s most important players and phenomenal goalkeeper in the world.
