Thirty-two patients in Kenya recovered from coronavirus in the last 24 hours, the highest in a single day since the pandemic was confirmed in the country on March 13, 2020, the Ministry of Health said on Sunday.

The 32 recoveries now raise to 239 the number of those discharged with the recovery rate of coronavirus standing at 36 percent. The number of cumulative positive cases stands at 672.

However, the death toll in Kenya rose to 32 with two reported fatalities.

“This number of patients discharged could not have been possible without the dedication and commitment of our healthcare workers, some of whom work under difficult conditions. These recoveries indicate that it is possible to overcome the disease with proper management,” Health Health Chief Administrative Secretary Rashid Aman said Sunday.
