Kenya continues to witness steady improvement in recovery of Covid-19 patients in spite of extending the nationwide dusk to dawn curfew.

The Ministry of Health Monday reported a total discharged and recovered persons at 114.

On Sunday, it surpassed the 100th mark for recovery cases.

However, cumulatively, positive cases surged to 363, after 8 new confirmations following tests conducted since Sunday.

Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe said the new cases are spread out in Nairobi and the coastal town of Mombasa.

“We have confirmed 8 cases of coronavirus today, four from Mombasa and the rest are from Nairobi,” said the Minister.

The fatalities currently stand at 14.

On Saturday, the National Emergency Response Committee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, Kenyatta extended the nationwide 7 pm to 5 am curfew for another 21 days.

This was together with the cessation of movement in and out of Nairobi, Mombasa, Kilifi, Kwale and Mandera countries.
