Kenya is witnessing a sudden surge in the COVID-19 cases in the last six days with the tally reaching 59 as new positive cases were reported End of March.

Health Chief Administrative Secretary Mercy Mwangangi said the 9 were found after 234 samples had been analysed. This means the cases have doubled in the last 6 days.

The ministry is now analyzing 1,160 contacts who have been in contact with the positive cases. 508 have been discharged after completing the 14-day.

So far, one patient has died with pone recovery.
