‘My debut season at Madrid has been bad’
- The Belgian forward has admitted that his first season at Madrid has been bad

- The forward is currently recuperating from an ankle injury that ruled him out of season

Eden Hazard joined Los Blancos last summer from Chelsea for £100m in what looked like a dream move for both the Belgian as well as Madrid FC.
However, the debut season has left little to be admired at the Bernabeu.
Recurring injuries and loss of form and fitness made many question the decision of signing the 29-year old who had led Chelsea to Europa League success.
Hazard has only managed one goal and five assists from 15 appearances for Real Madrid in all competitions.
The forward is however hopeful that he will have an impact in his second season at the club.
Speaking to Belgian media outlet Radio Télévision Belge de la Communauté Française (RTBF), the forward said that he is looking forward to next season:
My first season at Madrid is bad …It is an adaptation season. I will be judged in the second. It is up to me to be in good shape next season. The group (team) is good…I still have four years (in my) of contract, I hope be in good shape.
About Coronavirus
Hazard admitted to being worried about the pandemic and urged everyone to be careful.
“Am not saying I can’t catch it, but I am inside the house, nobody is coming out”.
The Belgian is in isolation in his Madrid home as the country battles with the coronavirus outbreak.
About the Euro 2020
The Belgian revealed that he would have been fit to play in the tournament which was slated for June.
