Giorgio Gori, the Mayor of Bergamo – a city in northern Italy, labelled the fixture a ‘biological bomb’ as he believes that it resulted in the spread of the virus in Italy and Spain.

Bergamo City is the worst-hit province in the country, recording 6,728 confirmed cases.

Last week, Valencia reported that a ‘big number’ of their players and coaching staff had tested positive of the virus.
