Kenyan singer Esther Akoth better known as Akothee. ‘The Boss Lady’ trend #1 on Youtube with ‘Mwiituasa’ a women empowerment jam.

Her song is done in a fluent Kamba dialect called Mwiituasa.

Mtoto wa mama alias Bahati, seems to be finding a new line of music. He teems up with Mejja and Madtraxx to unleash Kererembe, perhaps a signal that he might be shifting from the gospel music scene into the secular scene just like other artists who fall out with ‘God’s word’.

Boondocks Gang – Sidonyo

The Boondocks Gang, are back with Sidonyo.  The Boondocks Gang are a three-man gengetone group comprised of Exray, Maddox and Odi Wa Murang’a. They are from the slum Kayole, in Nairobi, Kenya.

They are at the forefront of the gengeton movement sweeping across the planet.

In December 2018 they released the song “Reing” and this track began a wave of hits that would be produced by the group in the following months like Madam, Mboko Haram, Ital, and Modo Man.

The three members of the Boondocks Gang met in 2015. The original group formed was a gospel hiphop group.
