  • Mi Vida Homes will six 13-floor blocks sitting on 4.5-acres next to the Garden City Mall
  • Mi Vida (Spanish for ‘my life’) will be built in three phases.

Nairobi County Government has approved Mi Vida Homes Ksh 12 billion middle-income residential property development at the Garden City Mall.

The first project will be rolled out within the Actis’ Garden City mixed-use development where a total of 628 residential units with the first phase of comprising 208 units commencing immediately.

The project is expected to be completed in 24 months.

Mi Vida chief executive Chris Coulson said: “We finally got our approval from the county authorities last Friday. It has been a long wait but we assure customers that construction will be completed on schedule.”

The project is a joint venture by India’s conglomerate Shapoorji Real Estate (SPRE) and UK equity investor Actis has since sold 93 units off-plan in phase one, mostly being one-bedroomed apartments by investor-buyers.

Actis is the developer of Garden City Mall, a mixed-use development that features retail, residential and office space.

“We fund projects to completion without seeking alternative costly funds like bank loans. Buyers signing contracts for the properties will receive their units on schedule,” he said.

Once complete, Mi Vida will boast of unique health and sports facilities such as an indoor gym with yoga and fitness studio, multi-purpose sports court, 300 meter outdoor jogging track and outdoor gym.

Additionally, residents will also have access to special community and leisure amenities such as a barbeque deck, both an adult and children’s pool, social events hall, kids play area, crèche and over one (1) acre of landscaped gardens.
