Kenya’s David Barmasai Tumo and Sharon Jemutai Conquer Nigeria’s Lagos City Marathon organised Access Bank.
According to the organisers, David Barmasai’s 2:10:23 hours time is 4 mins 41 seconds faster than Abraham Kiprotich’s record in 2018.
In the women’s race, Sharon Jemutai Cherop won clocking. 02:31:40.
Cherop‘s 2:31:40 hours time is 6 mins 12 seconds faster than Rodah Jepekorir’s record last year.
Last year, Sintayehu Legese of Ethiopia won the Marathon. He finished with a time of 2:17:28.
