Sadio Mane from Senegal and Asisat Oshoala from Nigeria were named the Best African Footballers of 2019 by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

He trounced Egypts’ Mohamed Salah and Algeria’s Riyad Mahrez to win the award. Salah won the award in 2017 and 2018 whereas Riyad in 2016.

Oshoala has been crowned the queen of her continent for the fourth time, repeating the years 2014, 2016 and 2017.

Oshoala becomes the player who more times he has won the award, along with his compatriot Perpetua Nkwocha (2004, 2005, 2010 and 2011).
