Marathon Champion Dr. Eliud Kipchoge of Law, is the BBC Sports Personality of the year.
Kipchoge became the first person to run a marathon in under two hours in October completing 42.2 km in one-hour 59 minutes 40 seconds in the Ineos 1:59 challenge in Vienna, Austria.
According to the BBC, Kipchoge who has won the London Marathon four times emerged triumphant in an online public vote defeating American gymnast Simone Biles, South Africa’s Rugby World Cup Captain Siya Kolisi, Australian Cricketer Steve Smith, American Golfer Tiger Woods, and USA Footaller Megan Rapinoe.

Italian golfer Francesco Molinari won the 2018 Open championship and all his Ryder Cup matches in Paris, France.
London Marathon 2020
Kipchoge said he would return to London in April for his first race since the Ineos Challenge. “I love running in London where the crowd support is always wonderful,” Kipchoge said in a statement. “Making history in London is my next target. I am proud that I am currently the only male able-bodied athlete to have won this great race four times and that no one, male or female, has won it more than that,” said the 35-year old.
