In September, Safarilink launched twice-daily flights to Kisumu.
“Our Kisumu service will allow passengers a convenient immediate connection to all our best Safari and Beach destinations such as Diani (Ukunda) Vipingo (Mombasa) Lamu, Exotic Zanzibar, and Masai Mara just to mention but a few.”
Kisumu lies on the northeastern shore of Lake Victoria a commercial, industrial, and transportation center of western Kenya, serving a locality populated by almost four million people.
Kisumu is an important link in the trade route between Lake Victoria and Mombasa because of its water and rail connections.
It is also the chief terminus for the agricultural produce of Nyanza and Western provinces. Industries are centered on processing agricultural products, brewing, and textile manufacturing.
