Forest Plantations cover 150,000 ha and comprise six per cent of Kenya’s 2.49 million ha gazetted forest estates. They are comprised of Cypress, Pine, and Eucalyptus exotic tree species. Management of plantations is provided for in the Forest Conservation and Management Act of 2016 under sections 43, 44, 45, 47, 57, 59 and 60. The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has released a list of its regional offices to make it easier for Kenyans to access its services. “These offices are the first port of call for various stakeholders in the regions, providing convenient means of accessing the Authority’s services,” the authority said in a statement seen by Khusoko.
