Kenyan students will compete at the global finals of the Huawei Sub-Saharan Africa ICT Competition scheduled for November 2020. The students from JKUAT, Laikipia University, Multimedia University and the University of Nairobi are competing as the Kenyan team in the competition. A Kenyan court on Friday handed down jail sentences to two suspects for their involvement in the 2013 Westgate attack that killed at least 67 people. Chief magistrate Francis Adayi sentenced Mohammed Ahmed Abdi to 33 years in jail while Hussein Hassan Mustafa was handed 18 years. The ICT Authority of Kenya and Huawei concluded online training for civil servants aimed at enhancing their knowledge on Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) trends.
