DIB Bank Kenya, a subsidiary of Dubai Islamic Bank profit before tax surged 105% YoY to KES 6.3 million for the period ending March 31, 2024.  This marks a significant milestone for the Bank as it reports its first profit since it began its operations in Kenya the lender said. Fruit juice maker Del Monte Kenya has opened a biofertilizer plant.  The facility will transform pineapple residues from their cannery into four different biofertilizers, promoting a more eco-friendly approach to farming in East Africa. Kenyan private sector firms report a significant strengthening of their business confidence, reaching a 13-month high in April. According to the latest Stanbic Group Purchasing Manager’s Index (PMI), their optimism was driven by planned investments and growth expectations, particularly in the service sector.
