Two accused persons, Mohammed Ahmed Abdi and Hussein Hassan Mustafa charged in the 2013 Westgate attack case have been found guilty of conspiracy to commit a terrorist act. Two Cuban doctors, who were abducted by Al-Shabaab from Kenya’s Mandera County in 2018 have been released.  The two, Assel Herrera and Landy Rodríguez, a physician and an orthopedic surgeon had been deployed to Kenya in 2018 before the incident. It is a race against time for Uchumi Supermarkets as it plans a slew of measures to clear its KSh 3.6 billion debt owed to suppliers, in line with the Company Voluntary Agreement (CVA).
