High Court judge John Onyiego granted bail to Sirisia MP John Waluke and his co-convict Grace Wakhungu in the Ksh 297million maize fraud case. The Kenya National Highways Authority (KENHA) says a section of Waiyaki Way from Goodman Tower to Sanlam Tower (500 metres) will be closed completely until April 2021. This is due to the construction of the Nairobi Expressway. KeNHA director-general Peter Mundinia said in a statement on Saturday that the disruption will take place between September 26 and April 1, 2021. Kenyans in diaspora sent home USD 274.1 million in August, however, this was a Ksh 2.9 billion decline inflows registered in July. Unga Group Plc, a Kenya-based holding company involved with the manufacture and marketing of a broad range of human nutrition, animal nutrition, on Friday said its profit declined 88% to Ksh 66.2 million from Ksh.544.8 million for the year ending June 30, 2020. The firm attributed the decline to a fall in consumer demand, raw materials supply disruptions, a weakening Kenya Shilling as well as reduced travel and hotel business.
