Swiss-Belhotel International, a Hong Kong-based hotel management company, has announced its partnership with two Nairobi hotels: Nairobi Safari Club and Emory Hotel in Kileleshwa.
The deal is part of the company’s expansion strategy in Africa and comes amid the recovery of the tourism sector from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Nairobi Safari Club, which has 146 rooms and conferencing facilities, will be rebranded as Nairobi Safari Club by Swiss-Belhotel.
The hotel’s custodians, Claire Njeri and Lilian Githunguri, said they are pleased to work with Swiss-Belhotel International, which shares their vision of delivering a world-class city hotel.
“We are pleased to announce the management partnership with Swiss-Belhotel International, one of the global hotel operators who share in our dream and passion for delivering a world-class city hotel,” Ms Clare Njeri Githunguri and Ms Lilian Joy Nyagaki Githunguri said.
Emory Hotel, which is owned by NIBS Resort Company Ltd., will be rebranded as Swiss-Belinn Nairobi by January 2024.
The hotel is located in the upscale Kileleshwa neighbourhood and offers modern amenities and services.
Laurent Voivenel, Vice President of Operations and Development for Europe, the Middle East and Africa and India at Swiss-Belhotel International, said the partnership is a significant milestone for the company.
“Nairobi Safari Club’s iconic status and Swiss-Belhotel International’s operational excellence will undoubtedly create a unique hospitality offering in the heart of Nairobi,” he said.
Swiss-Belhotel International operates more than 125 hotels and properties in 20 countries, including China, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
The company provides professional expertise and management services for hotels, resorts, and serviced residential properties.
