Lenovo has appointed Tareq Alangari as Senior Vice President and President of its Middle East, Türkiye, and Africa (META) business.
Joining the company on January 5, 2026, Alangari will spearhead Lenovo’s regional operations from the company’s new Regional Headquarters (RHQ) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The new president is tasked with scaling AI-driven solutions, cloud infrastructure, and advanced computing to meet the growing demands of governments and enterprises.
A Legacy of Digital Innovation
With over 25 years of experience in the technology and telecom sectors, Alangari most recently served as the CEO of e& enterprise Saudi Arabia. During his tenure, he was instrumental in building digital infrastructure and scaling specialized services in AI, cybersecurity, and FinTech.
His deep local expertise is expected to accelerate Lenovo’s “Smarter Technology for All” vision within the unique cultural and economic landscape of the META markets.
Expanding the Footprint in Saudi Arabia
The leadership change coincides with a period of massive investment for Lenovo in the Kingdom. In partnership with Alat (a Public Investment Fund company), Lenovo is currently developing:

A Global Manufacturing Hub: A 200,000 sqm facility in Riyadh’s Special Integrated Logistics Zone, set to produce “Saudi Made” laptops, desktops, and servers by 2026.
