Daikin Airconditioning India Pvt. Ltd. (DAIPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Daikin Industries Ltd., Japan, has inaugurated its new regional office in Nairobi, Kenya.
Located on the 8th floor of One Africa Place, the facility features a showroom showcasing Daikin’s advanced HVAC solutions tailored for Africa’s growing demand for energy-efficient air-conditioning.
Mr. Kanwaljeet Jawa, CMD of Daikin India and Board Member of Daikin Industries Ltd., emphasised the strategic importance of the move:
“We have plans to get aggressive in our approach within Africa and the new Daikin office is a key step towards strengthening Daikin’s endeavour to capture significant market share.”
The Nairobi office will serve as a hub for marketing, promotional services, and dealer network expansion across the continent. Mr. Jawa added,
“Our investment reflects our long-term vision—to drive excellence, foster strategic partnerships, and contribute to Africa’s evolving landscape.”
Mr. Junichi Omori, General Manager of Daikin’s Global Operations Division, reinforced the company’s commitment:
“We are poised to accelerate our expansion across Africa… The African market has demonstrated remarkable momentum, and we project it to grow into a multi-billion-dollar opportunity.”
The launch aligns with Daikin’s global strategy to strengthen its leadership in eco-friendly HVAC technologies and deepen its footprint in high-growth regions.
