Showmax’s longest-running Kenyan original, Single Kiasi, is back, and it’s not pulling any punches.
The fan-favourite drama returns for its fourth season on 17 September, promising high-stakes drama, emotional upheaval, and a deeper dive into the lives of Nairobi’s most beloved girl trio: Sintamei, Rebecca, and Mariah.
What Is Single Kiasi?
Launched in 2022, Single Kiasi follows three modern women navigating love, friendship, and career ambitions in Nairobi’s fast-paced urban jungle. The show has earned its place as one of Showmax’s most-watched titles for three consecutive years, praised for its bold storytelling and authentic portrayal of female resilience.
Season 4: The Storm After the Cliffhanger
Season 4 picks up from the jaw-dropping Season 3 finale, where Sintamei (Gathoni Mutua) finds herself reeling from a night of questionable choices with Nick (Lenana Kariba). Wracked with guilt, she throws herself into work, determined to elevate her law firm’s profile. But when a charismatic stranger enters her life, Sintamei is tempted to walk a dangerous line between ambition and desire.
Rebecca (Faith Kibathi) and Nick’s romance faces its own trials, as family pressures mount—thanks to Nick’s manipulative mother and snobbish aunt. Meanwhile, Mariah (Minne Kariuki), still healing from heartbreak and public humiliation, is done playing the victim. She steps into her power, embracing a new relationship where she finally calls the shots.
Behind the Scenes: Creators Speak Out
Co-directors and producers Phillipe Bresson and Grace Kahaki promise a season that pushes the characters to their limits.
“We are pushing the girls to their absolute limits. Every decision has a consequence, and they will be forced to fight tooth and nail for their careers, their relationships, and their sanity,” said Phillipe.
“We also wanted to explore what happens when strong women are pushed into the deep end – do they sink or swim? Viewers will see them fight for survival in Nairobi’s concrete jungle like never before,” added Grace.
