Kenya’s Ruth Chepngetich recorded the second-fastest ever women-only marathon at the Nagoya Women’s Marathon on Sunday.
She clocked 2:17:18 to win the World Athletics Elite Platinum Label road race.
The 2019 world marathon champion and 2021 Chicago Marathon winner, finished ahead of Israel’s Lonah Chemtai Salpeter and Japan’s Yuka Ando in second and third, respectively.
