• The Nigerian Nightmare set to defend his title against arch-rival Covington at the Madison Square Garden
  • Usman beat Covington via TKO back in 2019 and looks to defend his Welterweight title
  • In the co-main event, Zhang Weili will be seeking to avenge her loss to Rose Namajunas and reclaim the Strawweight title

Kamaru Usman will headline the UFC 268 with his title defence against Colby Covington.

The Welterweight Champion will take on Covington for the second time, nearly two years after defeating him via fifth-round TKO in late 2019.

Usman (19-1) has dominated the welterweight division, recording impressive wins against Jorge Masvidal and Gilbert Burns, and will be hoping to keep the streak alive when he takes on Covington (16-2).

The American has impatiently waited for this second crack and expects to when the two meet on Saturday at Madison Square Garden.

In the co-main event of the night, Strawweight champion Rose Namajunas faces Zhang Weili in a rematch of Namajunas’ belt-winning victory in April.

Namajunas stunned Zhang with a head-kick knockout in the first round at UFC 261. Weili will be out to avenge the loss and reclaim the title and looks set to battle having moved her training to Fight Ready MMA in Arizona.

The main card opens with a bantamweight bout between Frankie Edgar and Marlon Vera, followed by Shane Burgos who will take on Billy Quarantillo in a featherweight thriller.

Justin Gaethje and Michael Chandler will both be looking to put themselves back in the lightweight title picture with victory.

All the action will be live on SS Action and Variety 3 from 4.00am (EAT) on Sunday morning.
