- Kourtney Hause grabbed the winner against Manchester United at Old Trafford
- United got a penalty in the dying minutes but Bruno Fernandes had his effort fly above the bar
Aston Villa record a brilliant 1-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford.
It was the Villain first win over United since December 2009 thanks to Kourtney Hause’s 88th minute header.
Villa had early chances in the first half with Matt Targett and Olie Watkins having their efforts at goal fly over the bar and denied by David De Gea respectively.
Watkins had the first clear-cut chance of the second half, weaving through the defence and firing a shot towards the left-hand corner. David De Gea reacted instinctively with an exquisite save, and United were off the hook once more.
After defending resolutely, Villa were rewarded with the opener in the 88th minute, which came via a corner, whipped in expertly by Douglas Luiz and headed into the corner by Hause.
However, the drama did not end there with United being given a penalty in injury time through a Hause handball.
Designated taker Fernandes lost his composure though, sending the spot-kick sailing over the bar
