Vivo Y53s is now in Kenya, an expansion of the Y-series portfolio, Y53s.

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer’s device comes in two stunning colours: Deep Sea Blue and Fantastic Rainbow and it will retail at 27,999 Kenya Shillings country-wide. 

“The device that comes with a high-definition 64MP main rear camera aims to set a new standard for phones in the same price range, bringing impressive clarity to its users,” Vivo said in a statement.

This is paired with a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth lens. Additionally, the selfie camera is a 16 MP camera that is supported by an intelligent algorithm that enhances vivo’s expertise in front camera photography.

Vivo Y53s Specifications, Features

The Vivo Y53s 4G features a 6.58-inch IPS LCD display that has FHD+ 1080 x 2408 pixels resolution. The display panel has an aspect ratio of 20:9, a pixel density of 401PPI and a standard 60Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by an octa-core Helio G80 chipset.

The phone packs 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The handset also has 3GB Virtual RAM support for better multitasking. On the software front, the Y53s run Android 11 out of the box.

As for the optics purpose, the device features a triple-camera setup which consists of a 64MP primary main camera, 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor.

On the front side, the smartphone sports a 16MP selfie camera. The device packs a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. The smartphone comes equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Dimensions

The handset measures at 164 x 75.5 x 8.4 mm and weighs 190 grams. Connectivity-wise the device has dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port.

The vivo Y53s boasts a large 128GB capacity and a three-card slot for up to 1TB of memory expansion. It packs 8GB + GB extended RAM and will run on Funtouch OS 11.1 based on the Android operating system.

Other features of the phone are a USB Type-C port, a dedicated microSD card slot, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
