Arsenal got their eighth away win of the season as they beat Newcastle 2-0 at St James’ Park.
The Gunners got their win thanks to goals from Mohammed Elneny and Pierre Aubameyang in either half.
Mikel Arteta’s side came into the match at the back of three winless matches in all competitions.
The North London side took the lead in the fifth minute when Mohammed Elneny blasted the ball into the net from the edge of the box to get his first Premier League goal for Arsenal.
The Gunners dominated the better part of the match with Matt Ryan – called in place of Bernd Leno, had little to do in the match.
Pierre Emerick Aubameyang got his 10th Premier goal of the season in the second half when he converted a cross from Gabriel Martinelli.
Steve Bruce’s side was reduced to ten men late in the match when Mike Dean showed a straight red card to Fabian Schar for a reckless challenge on Martinelli.
The result sees Arsenal move to ninth position in the league table as the Magpies lie 17th in the table.
