- Antonio Conte’s Inter were held in their title charge by third-placed Roma
- Lorenzo Pellegrini put Roma in front with a fierce drive from the edge of the area
- Inter turned the game around through Milan Skriniar and Achraf Hakimi goal
- Gianluca Mancini rescued a point with a firm glancing header from a corner
Gianluca Mancini rescued a point for AS Roma as the hosts remained in the Serie title hunt after a 2-2 draw with fellow challengers Inter Milan.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan picked up his 10th assist of the season when he set-up Lorenzo Pellegrini, who gave Roma a first-half lead with a fierce drive from the edge of the box.
Inter Milan came out a completely different side after the break and ramped up the pressure on the hosts, with Paul Lopez making a superb close-range save from Lautaro Martinez.
But Conte’s side eventually hauled themselves level when Milan Skrinar rose well from a corner to fire past Lopez.
And Inter completed the comeback six minutes later was Achraf Hakimi cut inside from the right and curled a brilliant effort in the top corner via the crossbar.
But seconds after being denied by Inter goalkeeper Handanovic with a low drive, Roma defender Mancini rescued a point for the hosts with a firm glancing header.
Third-placed Roma remain in the hunt for the Scudetto and lie six points behind Milan, though Fonseca’s side have seen a three-game winning run come to an end.
The result means leaders Milan now have a three-point lead over their city rivals, after Stefano Pioli’s side beat Torino 2-0 on Saturday night.
