Olympic Champion Conseslus Kipruto freed on KSh 200,000 bond by Kapsabet court after pleading not guilty to defiling a 15-year-old girl.
Kipruto is accused of defiling a minor who had disappeared from her home for three days.
At first, the girl refused to reveal where she had been, but after checking her phone, her parents found that she was in communication with the 25-year old Champion.
The minor confessed that she had stayed at the home of the well-known athlete in Chesumei, in Nandi County (western Kenya).
The parents claim that the athlete abused their daughter, whom they have taken to a hospital for tests, and have filed a complaint at the Mosoriot city police station in Nandi.
Kipruto, one of the great stars of athletics in Kenya, won the gold medal in the 3,000-meter hurdles at the World Championships in London (2017) and Doha (2019), as well as at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (2016).
