Inter Milan ready to seal permanent move for United flop Alexis Sanchez.

The Italian side is said to be keen on signing the Chilean on a permanent move this summer.

Sanchez has been in good form the latter stages of his loan at Inter with three goals and seven assists in the last eight games.

Inter Milan chief Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed he wants to sign the Chilean permanently.

Inter have been contributing around £150,000-a-week to Sanchez’s wages and want to sign him permanently, but only if the player takes a pay cut and United lower their demand for a transfer fee of £18million.

‘It’s not easy, he has a contract with United for another two years,’ said Marotta. ‘A heavy contract and therefore it must be evaluated.

‘He’s a great player and a great guy. We would be happy to have him today, tomorrow and the day after. We are sorry because he is a great guy.’

But unless the former Arsenal man agrees to take a wage cut, United may have to consider paying off a player who was a huge disappointment at Old Trafford, scoring just five goals in 45 games for the club.
