- Jones Jr and Tyson agreed to an eight-round exhibition fight in California
- Mental Health and Psychosocial considerations during the COVID-19 pandemic
Roy Jones Jr admits that taking on Mike Tyson might be risky but is confident of winning in the eight-round exhibition fight in California.
The two are said to have agreed to the fight with each making a comeback to the ring after years in retirement.
Jones Jr has branded taking on Iron Mike a bit risky; brandishing the former undisputed heavyweight champion a ‘giant monster’.
Speaking to World Boxing News, Jones Jr said:
“His legs are huge and his thighs are huge. His arms are huge and his neck is huge! It’s very risky, yes. But God’s in control of all. [Previously] I was beating everybody in every weight class I was in, so what are you gonna do?
“It’s like David and Goliath. He’s a giant monster, we know. I’m little David and all I’ve got is God on my side, which is all I’m gonna need.”
Jones Jr has more recent experience in the ring, having last competed in 2018, although Tyson has looked in great shape in a number of training clips shared on social media.
