Sheffield United stun Jose Mourinho’s Spurs 3-1

Sheffield United beat Tottenham Hotspurs 3-1 to register vital win.
Chris Wilder’s side got their first win since the restart with a comprehensive win over Jose Mourinho’s side.
Sander Berge opened the scoring for the Blades in the 30th minute to cap off a flowing attacking move that opened the visitors.
The win was marred by controversy as Harry Kane had a goal disallowed in what neutrals would feel was a bit unfair for Spurs.
Harry Kane fired his side level immediately after Berge’s opener but the goal was overruled by VAR.
In the post-match interview, Jose Mourinho would repeat his words from 2014 that he would be in trouble if he spoke.
I would be in trouble if I said what I feel. I never complain with the referee anymore, because he is not the referee. He is only the assistant referee. The referee is in the office and that is not good for the game.
The Spurs and England skipper would later on score in the dying minutes of the match which was again subjected to a review by VAR who let the goal stand.
Mourinho would also concede that his squad had lacked the desire to win the match as the result left the North London outfit in ninth position.
The Portuguese said:
‘We have to be mentally stronger to cope with what happened. We cannot mentally die. I know it’s difficult to take and it’s a kick in the teeth, but with an hour to go we have to be stronger.’
Chris Wilder’s side took full advantage and ended a slump of one point from nine, climbing back above Spurs and re-igniting their European hopes.
The Blades travel to Burnley on Saturday as Spurs will play host to Arsenal in the fiery North London derby.
