The Bundesliga plans to resume play and have games behind closed doors until next year.
According to Christian Seifert, Bundesliga League Chief, the games will resume in May and play without fans until next year.
All 36 clubs in the top two divisions in Germany have welcomed back all their players back to camp with training being done in observance to health protocols set by the government.
Speaking to New York Times, Seifert informed that the league was set to resume in May with games in the two top divisions played out behind closed doors.
The last nine fixtures in this campaign will be completed by the end of June behind closed doors.
He further informed that the remainder of the year will see the games played without fans.
Bundesliga plans to allow around 240 people, which includes players, coaches, medical staff, officials and production staff, into the grounds for each game.
There will be two groups working on the practicalities of each matchday – one for regulations and the other to work out a hygiene plan for training and what would happen if a player tested positive for COVID-19.
