AJ is ‘Fit and Well’ despite meeting Prince Charles

World Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua is ‘well and fit’ despite meeting Prince Charles who has tested positive of coronavirus.
The Champion is at home in self-isolation after the news that Prince Charles has contracted coronavirus. Joshua met Prince Charles 16 days ago at Westminster Abbey.
Joshua was among the guests at the Commonwealth Day service on 9 March.
On Wednesday, it was announced that the Prince of Wales had tested positive of the virus that has claimed close to 20,000 lives in the world.
Prince Charles became the highest member of the British establishment and first member of the royal family to test positive for coronavirus.
An AJ’s spokesperson said that the boxer was in self-isolation in line with the government’s directive and had not shown any signs of coronavirus.
Next Fight
While boxing fans would be ‘more happy’ to see AJ meet Tyson Fury, the IBF, IBO, WBA and WBO champion is set to defend the titles against Kubrat Pulev in June.
While the fight falls outside the period of suspension of all boxing events, promoter Eddie Hearn admitted that there is no guarantee of the fight going ahead on 20 June.
