• Women’s Secret and Springfield has opened its first outlets in Nairobi

Spanish retail group Tendam, one of the leading European companies in the fashion sector and specialised in brand management in the premium mass market segment, has opened a luxury store in Nairobi.

This is its first entry into East and Central Africa.

Its brands include Cortefiel, Pedro del Hierro, Springfield, Women’secret and Fifty.

“Each of the brands that comprise Tendam targets a specific audience and has its own creative, design, sales and management teams.”

The luxury brand, which operates stores in 79 countries with 2,056 points of sale across the globe, said the new store located at the West Gate Shopping Mall will deal with its Women’s Secret and Springfield brands.

In Africa, it has stores in Ghana, Morocco, Angola, Mauritius, Egypt, Libya, Algeria and Tunisia.

“Tendam will continue with its international growth policy, thanks to its own stores and franchises,” said the firm in a statement.

Tendam ended the year 2018 with a profit of 80.8 million euros (88.9 million dollars), almost four times more than the previous year. Group sales, on the other hand, have remained stable at 1.15 billion euros (1.3 billion dollars).
