Hotpoint Appliances Ltd., electronics and home appliances distributors, has moved to its new KSh1.1billion offices’ block in Thika, outskirts of the Nairobi Central Business District.
The new location will also house the company’s East Africa headquarters, distribution center and warehouses including bonded warehouse, service center, duct fabricating workshop and a brand experience zone.
Located in the Sukari Industrial Estate off Thika Superhighway, the new state of the art facility will also serve the company’s operations in Tanzania and Rwanda.
According to the Hotpoint Appliances Limited Managing Director, Mr. Shailesh R. Kanani, the move was necessitated by a growing demand for their warehousing, service and office space brought about by consumer demands for their products.
“This move is part of our long-term plans to have our own facility which has been designed in line with our requirements in terms of logistics, service and office space. It also provides us with the synergy of having all the departments under one roof which has provided a more conducive working environment boosting staff productivity & better customer service levels. ,” said Kanani.
Hotpoint joins a growing list of companies developing their own facilities. In line with their philosophy of customer value and service through building and maintaining customer loyalty, the company settled on this location because it also accords them the easy access to various parts of Nairobi through the Thika Highway and Northern Bypass making it more efficient for them to make deliveries.
“Our new state of the art headquarters will host 350 of our more than 500 employees in addition to our warehouses, our new and improved service center and an interactive experience zone for the brands we represent,” added Mr. Shailesh “This is in addition to our existing 3 Service Centres, the main one being at our HQ here in Ruiru, the second one at Sarit Centre and third in our branch in Likoni.”
