BOC Kenya has named Ruben Chetty as Non-Executive Director, replacing Andy Gouws who has resigned following his retirement.
Chetty currently holds the position of Commercial and Business Development Manager for African Oxygen Limited (Afrox) Emerging Division.
He joined Afrox in 2007 and has held various senior roles in the areas of sales and marketing.
“His extensive experience in the industrial gases market and his strategic and commercial insights will be of immense value to the board of BOC,” said Ms. R.T Ngobi, the Company Secretary on behalf of the Board.
Gouws was appointed as a non-executive director in November 2016. “His resignation follows his retirement from the African Oxygen Limited, a company within Linde.
Mr. Chetty currently holds the position of Commercial and Business Development Manager for African Oxygen Limited’s (Afrox) Emerging Africa Division. He joined Afrox in 2007 and has held various senior roles in the areas of sales and marketing.
Prior to joining Afrox, he held a senior management position in Huhtamaki, a multinational packaging organization. His extensive experience in the industrial gases market and his strategic and commercial insights will be of immense value to the Board of BOC.
Mr. Chetty holds an MBA from the University of Witwatersrand, a Bachelor of Accounting Science degree from the University of South Africa and a National Diploma in Chemical Engineering from the Durban University of Technology.
