Goals from Riyad Mahrez and Phil Foden booked a semi-final clash between Manchester City and PSG in this year’s Champions League campaign.

Borussia Dortmund went ahead in the first half when Jude Bellingham opened the scoring for the German side in the 15th minute.

City rallied forward but a resilient Dortmund kept them at bay with a well-coordinated line of midfield and defence.

Pep Guardiola came into the second-half charged, Kevin De Bruyne leading City’s attack alongide former Dortmund man IIkay Gundogan.

Pep Guardiola – still on hunt for a historic quadruple, got back into the match when a VAR review ruled that Emre Can’s deflected clearance took a bounce off his arm. Riyad Mahrez stepped up and dispatched the resultant penalty.

Phil Foden, the hero from the first leg, sealed the tie with a ferocious strike just outside the area to seal the win for the Premier League side.

Manchester City will now take on PSG for a chance at this year’s glory.
