Kylian Mbappe netted twice as PSG stunned a plagued Bayern Munich 3-2 at the Allianz Stadium on Wednesday night.

In a rematch of last year’s Champions League final, PSG carried the night in their first-leg quarter final Champions League with a 3-2 win over Bayern Munich.

The defending champions were without the services of Robert Lewandowski and Serge Gnabry with the visitors attacking with purpose right from kick-off.

Mbappe opened the scoring in the third minute from a pass from Neymar who was slotted deep in midfield by Mauricio Pochettino.

The Brazilian would get his second assist of the night when he lofted a ball into the area that found an unmarked Marquinhos who put the ball squarely in the net to give the visitors a two-goal cushion.

Bayern rallied back with a goal through Choupo-Moting, called in to lead the attack, from a cross from Thomas Muller.

Muller would get the hosts back into the game in the second half when he met a perfectly lifted free-kick from Joshua Kimmich.

The defending champions continued raiding PSG’s area with Keylor Navas being called time and again to make crucial saves and blocks to keep the French side in the contest.

Mbappe would seal the win in the 68th minute from a Julian Draxler’s pass as the Frenchman put the ball past Manuel Neuer.

The two sides clash again in the second-leg at Parc des Princes on 13th April.
