Kenya Airways on Wednesday announced the appointment of Mr Habil A. Waswani as the Company Secretary effective immediately.
Mr Waswani has over 19 years of corporate and commercial law, the airline said in a statement. Skilled in Commercial and corporate law practice, Legal Compliance, Arbitration, Company Secretarial Work, Dispute Resolution, and Legal Writing.
He has worked in similar positions at National Bank of Kenya Limited, Kenya Reinsurance Corporation Limited, and Diamond Trust Bank Kenya Limited (DTB), all publicly listed institutions.
Habil holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) Degree from The University of Nairobi, a Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law and is a graduate of the Global Executive Master of Business Administration (GEMBA) Degree programme from United States International University in collaboration with the Columbia Business School, Columbia University, New York.
He has also attended various professional management and corporate governance capacity building courses.
Mr. Waswani is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a Certified Public Secretary. He is a member of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), the Institute of Certified Secretaries, Kenya (ICS) and the Institute of Directors (IOD).
