Disgruntled and out-of-favour Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has reached an agreement with the club to terminate his contract.
This comes as good news to the star who has found himself sidelined by manager Mikel Arteta.
According to reports published by The Athletic on Saturday, January 16, 2021, the agreement is in principle.
Mesut has been at the poorly performing Arsenal for the past 7 years where he emerged as a pure talent to ever wear the gunner’s jersey.
The 32-year-old is said to be headed to Fenerbeche where he is expected to spring back into action.
According to reports, he is expected to travel to the Turkish side this weekend to complete his move.
Ozil had earlier indicated his desire to remain at Arsenal until the end of his contract but he changed his mind mid-season after he was frozen out of all competitions leading to his early termination.
He will be moving to the Turkish side as a free agent after a deal was inked in principle.
He has Turkish roots, together with his family and it is expected that he will fit in well.
Football fans and especially Arsenal fans have been yearning to see the star back in action and this move will definitely be welcome.
Mesut Ozil has a fanatical following in Kenya due to his humble gesture of recognizing and gigting a young boy who was pictured wearing a jersey with Ozil name.
Recently, he sent the young boy face masks to share with his friends.
