AFC Leopards Thomas Trucha has resigned.

Thomas Trucha has resigned from his position as the club’s head coach.

Trucha is alleged to have received death threats that lead him to his decision.

Leopards chairman, Dr Dan Shikanda, revealed on Wednesday the Czech Republican was feeling unsafe after unidentified people threatened his agent.

“The coach’s agent has been threatened by people claiming to be our supporters and the coach doesn’t feel safe here,” said Shikanda.

However, according to reliable sources, the Czech Republican was unhappy with external interference by officials who wanted to influence his team selection and fielding.

The tactician has left the club after overseeing only the side’s 2-1 win over Tusker FC on Saturday.

Anthony Kimani, Trucha’s assistant, is set to take charge.

This will be the second time Kimani is taking over the club on an acting capacity as he had to fill the void when the former Rwandan head coach Casa Mbungo left in December 2019.

Ingwe take on Football Kenya Federation Premier League debutants Bidco United on December 6 in the second game of this league campaign.
