  • It sets up a huge showdown with Manchester United in Germany next week

Julian Nagelsmann’s side set up a winner-takes-all clash with Manchester United on final night of group stage with stoppage winner.

The Germans squandered a two-goal lead before Alexander Sorloth’s stoppage-time goal earned them a thrilling victory at Istanbul Basaksehir to set up a winner-takes-all showdown with Manchester United next week.

Leipzig moved level on points with PSG and United ahead of the final group game next week, with one set to drop down to the Europa League.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side were beaten at home by last year’s runners-up after they needed just a point to wrap up their place in the last-16.

Leipzig, semi-finalists last season, are on nine points, level with leaders Manchester United who face Paris St Germain, on six, later. Basaksehir are eliminated from the Champions League.
