Safaricom has inducted to its board Raisibe Kgomaraga Morathi and Dilip Pal with effect from 1st November 2020 the telco said on Monday.

Ms Raisibe Morathi was appointed Vodacom’s Chief Financial Officer and executive director to its board. Prior to her appointment, she was the Group Chief Finance Officer (CFO) at Nedbank since 2009. Raisibe was also the patron of Nedbank’s Women’s Forum, demonstrating her commitment to the development of women and young people. 

Raisibe is a Chartered Accountant (SA) and has completed an Advanced Management Programme (AMP) with INSEAD (France). She holds a Higher Diploma in Taxation (Wits University) and is currently pursuing a Masters in Philosophy (Corporate Strategy) at GIBS. 

On the other hand, Mr Dilip Pal will serve as an alternate director to Safaricom’s CEO, Mr. Peter Ndegwa following his appointment as Safaricom’s Chief Finance Officer (CFO) with effect from 1st November 2020.

Prior to his appointment, Mr Dilip Pal served as the CFO at both DTAC, Thailand, and Grameenphone Bangladesh. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Goennka College of Commerce, alongside a Master’s in Commerce from Calcutta University.
