Chelsea take on Southampton without goalkeeper Mendy.
The Blues welcome the Saints to Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon as Frank Lampard’s side look to steady their campaign.
Before the international break, Chelsea put a solid performance against Crystal Palace, beating them 4-0. The side had previously dropped points away at West Brom when they came from three goals down to end the game 3-3.
Despite being one of the busiest sides in the summer with signings, Chelsea are yet to find their rhythm and Lampard will be looking to get three crucial points when they host Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side.
The side will be without goalkeeper Edouard Mendy who picked up a thigh injury while away on international duty with Senegal, which leaves Lampard with either Kepa Arrizabalaga or Willy Caballero in goal.
There are also injury worries for Thiago Silva and N’Golo Kante, while Ben Chilwell is in the squad.
However, Hakim Ziyech is in line to make his first appearance for the club following his move from Ajax this summer – but may not be fit enough to start.
