Barcelona aim to land Memphis Depay and Wijnaldum in January.

Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman is eyeing a cheap swoop for Memphis Depay and Georginio Wijnaldum in January, according to reports.

The Spanish giants were in hot pursuit of the trio before the 2020-21 campaign got underway, but Lyon and Liverpool stood firm despite the heavy interest.

And according to Mundo Deportivo, after having their finances hit severely due to the coronavirus pandemic and losing a huge £88million, Barcelona are once again eyeing the trio on the cheap as they all enter the final six months of their respective deals and move closer to potential free transfers next summer.

Lyon star Depay, who worked with Koeman for the Dutch national team, refused to rule out a move away from Ligue 1 in January when quizzed on Barcelona’s failed pursuit of him.
